For a couple of weeks I have really been watching what I eat. Today, though I realized I need to start drinking more as well. So in addition to the clean eating I have been drinking enough water to keep a baby elephant happy.

What To Do With The Kid When School Is Out

I promise I don’t lock him in here on a regular basis. Actually I don’t lock him in there at all. But every time I turn around he has gotten in the crate and even funnier, he manages to coax Misty in with him.

Megan and I love history and for years we have talked about visiting the Holocaust Museum in DC.  Finally we hired a babysitter for Zane and decided to spend the day at the Museum.  I didn’t take photos inside because it was frowned upon but this quote touched me.  This was engraved just above a pile of shoes that were taken from Jews as they were entering the gas chamber. My heart broke seeing these shoes and represented only a small part of the loss of life.  If you have a day and want to really experience something that will change your life, visit this museum.

From morning ’til night these two spend every minute of every day together.  The best part for me is the continuous loop of giggles that flows through our home.  There is no way to be anything but happy when these two are together.

This was supposed to be the winter of the big snow.  So far not so much.  Today we woke up to a powdering of snow on the ground a call at 5:30 a.m. telling us we did not have to wake up for another two hours.  If this is all we get this winter, I will be a happy, happy girl.
